Community Outreach

wrap 10

We are so grateful to all who helped our neighbors in need!

Imagine you couldn’t provide Thanksgiving or Christmas for your family. Sadly, this was true for many local families this past holiday season. Fortunately, Moriches Community Center and generous community businesses and folks like you changed that!

During this time of Covid-19, the need locally was greater than ever. Thanks to the enthusiastic help of students at Center Moriches Schools, and the financial generosity of local businesses, foundations, and community members who donated or adopted a child or family, MCC was able to provide food, toys, clothing, or other items during the holidays to 53 local families in need! Best of all, this year a very generous anonymous donor matched contributions up to $20,000!

Special thanks go to our wonderful Center Moriches Schools students who gathered food, and our kind Santa’s Workshop helpers, and to all who so generously adopted a child or family. Every gift of time, talent or money contributed to the success of the 2020 “Santa’s Workshop” holiday community outreach program, and the families who received were so thankful for your kindness and caring.

Holiday Outreach will begin in November. Here are ways you can “Help someone today” and show you care this year:
