Fitness Fun with IGHL

“Fitness Fun” is a wellness program collaborative with IGHL residents with higher sports abilities. Every Friday night from 6-7:30 pm IGHL residents and Center Moriches students, both special needs and general education, participate in sessions at Clayton Huey Elem. gym. Sessions include stretching, conditioning and basketball skills building activities such as two ball dribbling, shooting, layups, and other skills. Additionally, participants learn good team play, fair competition, and sportsmanship, and they have the opportunity to integrate with students who are not developmentally challenged.

IGHL “Fitness Fun” is made possible by a generous grant from Independent Group Home Living.
